NAC, Active compensation unit

NAC

The Nordbo Active Compensation unit (NAC) assures a constant applied force, regardless of the complexity of the surface curvature, processing speed and orientation of the tool. Sensors inside the product register the contact with the workpiece, keep the applied force constant and enable a soft landing to ensure that the part is not being over-processed while in first contact with the processing tool. The NAC can be used either as an end-of-arm tool on a robot or as a standalone component.

NRS-6 Series

We offer a series of force torque sensors compatible with all robot manufacturer. They ensure both accuracy and repeatability in your application.

Three key benefits of a force torque sensor can be defined as accuracy, resolution, and repeatability. Accuracy refers to how precise the sensor is when a certain force is selected and applied. Resolution refers to the smallest change in force that the sensor can measure. Repeatability is the sensors ability to provide the same results. The Nordbo Robotics 6-axis force torque sensor is rigid, robust and ideal for mounting on robots for precise force control. The sensors’ minimal deformation when being exposed to forces makes the NRS-6 series ideal for applications such as grinding, polishing, buffing, and deburring where high tool precision is required.

A force torque sensor measures the force applied to an object. To measure the force, it is important to consider the required and desired measuring range and accuracy to evaluate which force torque sensor is most suited for a given task. The more precise the values needs, the smaller the measuring range and the more receptive the sensors needs to be.

The force torque sensor can be used in a variety of applications. The main ones are assembly of objects and finishing tasks such as grinding and polishing as these activities require precision and repeatability. For certain tasks, the force applied needs to be accurate and consistent. This makes the force torque sensor applicable to a wide range of applications.

Industrial Depth Camera

The Nordbo Industrial Depth Camera D435e is built with Intel® RealSense™ technology which is widely used and supported. The depth camera has a standard USB3 interface with built-in power connectors and features a wide field of view for depth and RGB sensors. In addition, the water- and dust resistant housing is optimized for industrial environments.

This camera is ideal for OEMs and integrators who need both 3D and 2D vision in their products and applications.

The Nordbo Industrial Depth Camera D435e is compatible with the Cross-platform SDK for Intel® RealSense™ devices, enabling multiple programming languages, wrappers, sample code and tools. This camera can be used with the Nordbo CraftMate Platform to acquire 3D data of the workpiece to be processed.

Lens-cleaning bracket

It is also optional to purchase a self-cleaning bracket for mounting the camera. The bracket has built-in air nozzles. They provide a constant air circulation around the camera lens in order to prevent dust or water to bloke the field of view. This option is ideally for the applications in a harsh industrial environment with high dust or humidity rate, for example grinding, sanding, painting, etc.
